This is our original new texture sweet made by sandwiching slices of lotus root and fresh cream in a dorayaki pancake. The lotus root remains crispy, and the dorayaki crust is coated with a thin layer of white bean paste and sandwiched together with fresh cream. This gives it a Western taste even though you are eating lotus root.
Ibaraki Prefecture is the largest lotus root producer in Japan. We are the only company that puts lotus root on baked goods that can last for a long time. The baked pastries (tuiles), which have a crunchy texture with a moderate sweetness flavored with almonds, are baked in the shape of an arm to resemble the sails of a traditional Kasumigaura sailboat. Almonds are also known as a natural supplement because of their high nutritional value.
