Mr. Miura states: “We carefully select mackerels that are caught in Choshi Fishing Port and process them. We produce stewed fish called “Nizakana” from fatty winter mackerels caught between November and December, and large sardines caught in June during the rainy season. These fish are aged at cold temperatures without actually freezing the product and softened to the bone through a saturated vapor steamer. Finally, through a different process, the products are stewed in a sauce to give it a homemade taste”.

You can eat these after heating them up in boiling water for 10 minutes
