“Ibaraki Prefecture's Jiduka Natto”: A Simple Taste That Brings Out the Natural Flavor of the Ingredients!

A luxurious natto that keeps the original flavor of the soybeans

Natto, which is made of fermented soybeans, is the king of fermented foods. It is a superfood rich in lactic acid bacteria and enzymes that support good health, it is also high in protein and full of nutrients.

Natto is often eaten as a breakfast staple in Japan. It can be enjoyed served with rice, but also with salads, noodle dishes, and even with bread.

Since its establishment in 1969, Higeta Shokuhin Co., Ltd. has been carefully selecting domestic soybeans to hand make natto using traditional methods. They are a diligent natto producer dedicated to continuing to make natto with a focus on taste and quality.

Higeta Shokuhin’s “Ibaraki Prefecture Jiduka Natto” is made from a variety of small-grained soybeans called “Natto Shoryu” which are grown in Ibaraki Prefecture.

Efforts are made wherever possible to visit the fields to check the growing environment and cultivation methods of the soybeans.

Jiduka Natto is made with small beans that are firm in texture and it captures the rich flavor and umami of the soybeans. This natto can be enjoyed not only with rice, but also on salads and buttered toast.

Also, the tare sauce and mustard attached to this Jiduka Natto pack are specially made without chemical seasonings, artificial coloring, or preservatives.

Higeta Shokuhin strive to create safe and secure products, such as by using domestically produced straw.
