We are interviewing enterprises/organizations that are actively working in foreign exports and are member of the Ibaraki Global Business Promotion Council about their products!
This time we asked Nomura of NOMURA BREWERY CO. LTD., a brewery with the motto “local production for local consumption” which brews sake with traditional methods, about TSUYUAKANE PLUM WINE.
With a focus on Singapore, TSUYUAKANE PLUM WINE is being exported to Taiwan, Hong Kong, France, Australia, etc., and has been widely well received.

NOMURA BREWERY CO. LTD was founded in 1897.It is located in Motoishige, Joso city, between 2 rivers with Kokai river in the east and Kinu river in the west.
Made with Yamada Nishiki sake rice form local contract farmers and Iwaji soft spring water from Mt. Tsukuba. The sake is brewed with traditional methods with the utmost care and diligence by skilled artisans.
In addition to sake, we also make liqueurs, and jam made from fruits that we sell at a store located next to NOMURA BREWERY CO. LTD along with a French restaurant, BRASSERIE JOZO where you can try our wine.

TSUYUAKANE PLUM WINE

TSUYUAKANE PLUM WINE

Our recommended export, “TSUYUAKANE PLUM WINE”, is known for its vivid red color and is made with a new variety of plum known as Tsuyuakane.
Characteristically large seeded and red, Tsuyuakane is first frozen, and after the cells are broken down, they are soaked in white liquor and crystalized sugar to create a bright red plum wine.
The most distinctive feature is its vivid red coloring.
The ability to produce such a brilliant red color is the result of the technology at NOMURA BREWERY CO. LTD. Just adding TSUYUAKANE PLUM WINE to the dining table adds color.
Feel free to cool and drink it as is, or mixed with soda. It is a delicious plum wine with a subtle plum flavor.
Cheese dishes also pair very well due to its refreshing acidity.

  • TSUYUAKANE PLUM WINE(375ml)

    This is a red plum wine made by marinating a new plum specie from Ibaraki Prefecture, “Tsuyu Akane” in white liquor. It is characterized by its vibrant red color and fresh sourness.
  • Tsumugibijin Gran Junmai Ginjo

    It has a good balance of fruity fragrance and taste and is crisp. KURAMASTER Sake Competition Platinum Award Winner. Yamada Nishiki from Ibaraki Prefecture prepared with spring water of the Tsukuba mountain range. Pure rice ginjo. Smooth texture and soft ginjo aroma.
  • Strawberry Liqueur

    A 6% alcohol liquor made of mild vodka and Ibaraki-produced strawberry juiced at our company.
  • TSUYUAKANE PLUM WINE(500ml)
