We are interviewing enterprises/organizations that are actively working in foreign exports and are member of the Ibaraki Global Business Promotion Council about their products!
This time, we interviewed Ms. IIJIMA Hiromi from Iijima Chikusann Corporation about an export product named “Ibaraki Jiyoton curry”. This corporation wholesales, retails, produces, processes and sells pork and beef raised in Ibaraki, as well as chicken raised in Japan.

Iijima Chikusann Corporation wholesales, retails, produces, processes and sells pork and beef raised in Ibaraki, as well as chicken raised in Japan.
Iijima Chikusann’s factories work on ensuring the safety and security of food products and have SQF International(※) and Ibaraki HACCP(※) certifications.
Our company sells “Ibaraki Jiyoton” which is pork made from pigs that are born and raised in a controlled manner in designated farms until they are processed. The pigs are fed dedicated Jiyoton feeds that contain about 30 % of natural nutrients, grow rich supplements, and wheat. The meat has low levels of cholesterol, a nice sweetness, and a rich taste.

※SQF International certification is a management system aiming to ensure safety and quality of food products. Standard of production process and product certification.
※Ibaraki HACCP is certified standard of Ibaraki Prefecture given to factories that are sanitarily managed to a high degree.

“Ibaraki Jiyoton curry”

Our recommendation is the “Ibaraki Jiyoton curry” which has plenty of big pieces of pork.
We cut up the Ibaraki Jiyoton into luxuriously filling, big pieces.
The curry is deliciously finished with a harmonious coupling of vegetables grown in Japan and a special curry roux.

Please have it with rice after heating it up in boiling water for 10 mins.
When heating it in a microwave, make sure to take out the curry from the bag, pour it in a plate, and put a plastic wrapping over the plate. (Please adjust the watts and heating time based on the microwave manual)

Production Process

“Ibaraki Jiyoton”, with a beautiful marbling of fat and red meat, we generously cut it into a big pieces and add it to a curry.

  • Ibarakijiyoutonn curry

    Ibaraki Jiyoton pigs are fed a carefully selected fodder and raised on selected farms. Ibarakijiyoutonn curry is generously made from big cubes of Ibaraki Jiyoton pork legs and cooked with vegetables, both grown locally and elsewhere, and Jiyodori chicken soup to bring out a rich flavor. Customers are pleasantly surprised to see how big the pork cubes are and how many cubes there are in a pack. This is such a fine curry meal you cannot believe it is a retort pouch product.
